It came down to a two-legged qualifying affair in Tajikistan with the winner progressing to the tournament. After a first leg where Lachlan grabbed an assist and played a hand in another goal, the Australians went into the second leg 3-2 ahead.
The second match certainly didn’t have the goals but the side managed to keep a clean sheet and add another to the score line through Patrick Wood’s early finish.
Lachlan played 89 minutes in the match ahead of what has been a successful international trip which also included a training camp in Dubai.
The winger will now turn his attentions to Brentford B ahead of upcoming fixtures for Neil MacFarlane’s side.
