The 20 Premier League clubs, including Brentford, have submitted squad lists for the ongoing 2021/22 season. Each club can name a maximum of 25 players aged over 21 in their squad list for each season. Only these players, plus any considered Under-21, can player Premier League matches. The list submitted at the closure of the summer transfer window cannot be altered until the winter transfer opens in January.

The Premier League is expected to publish the lists later today, Friday 10 September. The lists will also include all players under the age of 21 registered. For Brentford, this will include all our B Team players. A player is considered to be Under-21 for this season if they are born on or after 1 January 2000.

The lists will also note Home-Grown players (HGP). A HGP is said to be a player who, irrespective of nationality or age, has been registered with any club affiliated to The Football Association or the Football Association of Wales for a period, continuous or not, of three entire seasons, or 36 months, before his 21st birthday (or the end of the season during which he turns 21). Each squad contains no more than 17 players who do not fulfil the HGP criteria.

The Brentford squad list does not include Josh Dasilva, who is still recovering from a hip injury and will not play before the winter transfer window opens. New signing Zanka, who joined The Bees yesterday, is on the list. All 20 Premier League squads will be listed on the Premier League website shortly.
