The 2022/23 Premier League schedule has been released and the start of the season is a month away. Fixtures are in place and Fantasy Premier League prices have been set. Fantasy Premier League managers are among those looking ahead and making plans for the season.
Brentford's FPL prices were revealed at the end of last week. Some Brentford players are among those thought to be in high demand. You can see all the prices here.
The Scout - who writes about Fantasy Premier League for the Premier League - is looking at players that may be useful for the first weeks of the upcoming 2022/23 campaign. In a piece here he identified some Brentford players that could make a difference. Goalkeeper David Raya and striker Ivan Toney were on his radar.
"David Raya has the potential to become the go-to budget goalkeeper in many Fantasy managers’ opening squads this season," wrote The Scout. "The Bees’ No 1 is available at £4.5m after totalling just 95 points in the previous campaign. However, Raya was limited to only 24 appearances due to injury in 2021/22. Indeed, his average of 4.0 points per match (ppm) was bettered by only three other regular starters in goal.
"Ivan Toney’s price tag of £7.0m could also attract attention. Toney scored eight of his 12 goals in 2021/22 in the final 19 Gameweeks, ranking third among forwards. His 44 shots in the box also placed third in his position from Gameweek 20 onwards, while his 24 key passes were the second-most in his position."
Everyone involved in Fantasy Premier League is preparing for next season. You can join in next season and play in classic leagues, with total points deciding the rankings, or take part in head-to-head leagues, where managers duel each Gameweek, earning three points for a win and one for a draw.
