Head Coach Thomas Frank spoke to us after our narrow defeat to VfB Stuttgart on Saturday afternoon.
Bryan Mbeumo scored his second goal of pre-season but two second half strikes saw Stuttgart snatch a win from a very hard-fought and hot contest.
Thomas spoke about the attacking threat on display at Zeppelinstadion and enjoyed some of the counter-attacking football from his side.
"There were a lot of positives, we played two mixed teams again to give all the boys 45 minutes. It was a very warm day and the boys have been trained very hard. They dug deep and produced two performances.
"We were extremely dangerous in transition and scored a fantastic goal from that."
This week also saw Christian Eriksen confirm his move to Manchester United. Thomas was keen to send a message of thanks to the 30-year-old midfielder.
"We wish him the best of luck in his new club. It's been a successful relationship between Christian and Brentford. We helped him, he helped us, a fantastic agreement.
"Of course, we wanted him to stay longer and he decided something else. Personally, I'm thankful for the chance to get to know him even better, having worked with him 14 years ago.
"I saw his social media post and I have since spoken to him over the phone, he said thank you to everyone at Brentford and I know he really enjoyed his time here."
